What use Skill points now?
I've been level 20 for many repeats and used all my attribute points. I also have done lots of quests and got loads of skills but also I've got loads of skill points, 36 to be precise, just doing nothing.
It seems to me that once you've got all the skills you need for your bar (and I'm pretty happy with mine) that these skill points are pretty useless and worthless. What I would like to see is that somehow you could exchange some skill points for extra attribute points so that the skills you have already are made stronger and more effective. My character is Ranger / Elementalist with 540 Health but only 25 Energy. I have tried all sorts of rearranging of skill points to try and improve my energy level ( through armour and runes etc) with little effect. Can anyone tell me if I can use all theses extra skill points I have without buying extra skills that I really dont want? I dont see the point of GW awarding these points if they aren't going to be used somewhere. |

Buy more/better skills.
Change your secondary and buy the skills associated with that class. Buy Signets of Capture and find the elite skills for your class. |

Done that, got a Signet of Capture but all that doesn't use up this stash of skill points.

Buy more signets. There are plenty of elite skills for each class.
Why don't you try respeccing your ranger and play as trapper and get the skills for that build? My E/R has about 6 skill points left (@Droknar's Forge). Although she is mostly a fire elementalist, I bought most of the air, earth and water skills, a good number of ranger skills and got a few monk skills now too. |

Having skill unlocked gives you the ability to use them when you roll a PvP character. Say you want to roll an Ele for PvP. Well, unlocking all those skills will give you more for your PvP bar. Also, around 25 power is all a ranger needs. With points in expertise the actual power you use for skills is reduced. The power number on the skill stays the same, but the actual amount used lowers. And if your trying to cast big ele DD's with your ranger, that's not really a good use of power. |

furthermore, a full set of ranger druid armor will give you 31 energy rather than the standard 25 that most ranger armor gives you.
